say goodbye to a friend

We lost Jasper this morning. He had a seizure and died quickly. He was quite old. Justis was there to hold him while he went.

Jasper was part of the ranch family for more than 15 years. One of my friends called him The TV Cat because he always showed up when anyone sat down to watch TV. In truth, he showed up anytime anyone sat down. He was always on the lookout for a good lap. It didn’t matter if he knew you or not. If you had a lap he wanted to sit on it.

He had started to walk a little stiffly sometimes and he didn’t jump as far as he once did, but he was otherwise healthy right up until the end.

Jasper was a big, orange cat that loved people and made friends with anyone who stayed at the house for any length of time. We loved him and we will miss him
